Presenting views from the Finnish woodland and the country's forestry industry, Antero Inkari, counsellor and charge d'affaires of the Finnish Embassy in Bucharest opened at the Ministry of Culture the photo exhibition 'My forest, full of life'.

Malaysia celebrated its national day on 31 August in resplendent style, with Charge d'Affaires Jamaluddin Sabeh welcoming guests from the local diplomatic corps and related organisations to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam celebrated its Independence Day at the Diplomatic Club on 31 August with top-level guests and traditional cuisine.
