Hidroelectrica received an offer from the consortium of Romelectro (Romania) - Litostroj Power (Slovenia) and another from the Chinese company PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation. Both offers were submitted on 4 June.

The contract could be signed in two months. In February this year, Hidroelectrica has launched an international public tender for the retechnologization of hydroelectric power plant Vidraru.

The estimated value of the project reaches 78.98 million Euro (without VAT), to which can be added maximum 1.75 million Euro of unanticipated expenses

According to a release of the company, the works will be developed by the winning company for four years and eight months since the date of assignation.
