US homebuilding in Giurgiu

Self-empowering special needs: Building homes for adults with mental disabilities became the focus of Habitat for Humanity Romania, the Comber Foundation and the US Embassy’s pre-Xmas initiative. The house will be a platform to allow adults with special needs to integrate in the village life of Izvoarele, Giurgiu county. Ambassador Mark Gitenstein braved the winter frosts to help the volunteers raise high the roof, knock in the nails and roll-out the insulation. 36 further houses will be built in Giurgiu county.
