CBRE intermediates a land transaction for a washing machines plant in Hunedoara

CBRE intermediated the acquisition of a 42-ha plot by BSH Electrocasnice Manufacturing, the Romanian subsidiary of the German concern BSH Hausgerate GmbH, part of Bosch group.

The property is situated in Simeria, and it will be used for building a washing machines factory. The plant will be the German manufacturer's first unit in Romania, and the fourth in Europe (in addition to the ones in Germany, Spain and Poland). The 110 million-euro investment represents the biggest capital placement made in the last 30 years in Hunedoara, in a unit that manufactures finite products.

"We have cooperated perfectly with BSH, as well as with the local authorities in Hunedoara and Simeria, who have shown us how much they want this major investment. Moreover, we are very pleased to have helped create over 700 jobs for the local community. This project will also support the economic development of Simeria, a city of great potential, but located in a region that has not received much attention lately", stated Andrei Brinzea, Head of Land Development of CBRE Romania.
