"At first glance, the changes approved today by the City Hall Council don't impact services such as Uber. We are analysing, and we will come up with a point of view or proposals in the next period to avoid potential abusive interpretations. We want to be the partners of the Bucharest City Hall," said Uber officials, according to Business Review.

The municipality counsellors voted new rules through which the dispatch services for all taxis of authorized by the local transport agency to become mandatory across Bucharest.
Gabriela Firea, the mayor of Bucharest, said the aim is for all citizens to have a safe and comfortable trip in a taxi.

According to the decision, taxi drivers will be forbidden from turning down trips. In addition, the drivers will need to wear decent clothing. The drivers of taxis will also be forbidden from smoking, listening to loud music and talking on the phone while in the car.
