Porsche Romania posts 13 per cent increase in sales for all Volkswagen group brands in the first nine months of 2017

Porsche Romania, the largest automotive importer in Romania, closes the first nine months with a 13% increase in sales for all Volkswagen group brands, compared to the same period of last year.

"We are on track to achieve our objective of delivering 25 per cent of new cars in Romania in 2017", said
Brent Valmar, General Manager Porsche Romania.

Volume car brands Volkswagen and Skoda recorded the highest sales, up 19 per cent and almost 11 per cent respectively from the same period of last year. The best-selling passenger car models during January - September 2017 were Skoda Octavia (3,499 units sold), Volkswagen Golf (2,444 units), Skoda Rapid (2,293 units), Volkswagen Polo (1885 units) and Tiguan (1742 units).

Skoda Octavia continues to lead in its segment and is closely followed by VW Golf and Skoda Rapid. VW Passat remains the number one choice in its category and is followed by Skoda Superb, both brands growing faster than the segment in the reporting period.
