CTP invests over 13 million Euro for the expansion of CTPark Timisoara

CTP, the industrial parks developer, invests over 13 million Euro in the extension of CTPark Timisoara with 32,000 sqm, due to the increasing demand in the Western area of the country.

2017-08-25 11:11:55

CTP's portfolio in Timisoara includes two logistic parks: CTPark Timisoara I that was acquired in 2015 and has a total size of 10,000 sqm GLA and CTPark Timisoara II, the extension currently under development by the company. The construction works at the extension of CTPark Timisoara are ongoing and will be finalized in December 2017.

The structure of CTPark Timisoara II consists in one facility of 15,000 sqm that will be occupied by a strategic client, and two other spaces of 8,500 sqm each, available for lease.

"We decided to start construction for CTPark Timisoara II because we signed a lease contract with a strategic client," stated Ana Dumitrache, Country Head of CTP Romania. "They wanted to expand their facilities in order to accommodate the needs of their growing business in the region. Another reason was the increasing of the demand in Timisoara area and the necessity for premium industrial and logistic spaces that are more than facilities for depositing merchandise! I notice with excitement that there is a clear upward trend on the logistics and industrial segment in Romania."

The existing CTPark Timisoara I was acquired in 2015 is currently fully leased by important names such as: Altex, eMAG and Soehner that occupy the warehouse distributed on 10,000 sqm. After the completion of CTPark Timisoara II, the park will totalize 32,000 sqm GLA, of which 17,000 sqm will be available for lease.
