From January to December 2016, gross loans, excluding the write-offs, grew by 10.3 per cent across all business lines. The loan/deposit ratio stays at 70 per cent.
As at December 31, 2016, Banca Transilvania counts a portfolio of 2.82 million cards, generating transactions 25 per cent higher compared to the similar period of the previous year. The bank's market share in terms of card transaction volume is 20%.

Omer Tetik, Banca Transilvania's CEO, said: "In 2016, we achieved good results in terms of organic growth and profitability, one year after the merger with and integration of Volksbank Romania.
