Profi opens its first stores this year

Profi opens its first three stores in 2017, reaching a total of 504 units in Romania, a press release shows.

2017-01-20 10:43:21

Two of the new stores were opened in the Loco format, in Razvad (Dambovita County) and Jebel (Timis County). The third unit was opened in the City format, in Bacau. This year, Profi estimates an acceleration of the growth rate, with a number of store openings at least at the same level as in 2016, both in the urban and the rural areas. New stores inaugurations will be equally divided between the three formats the company operates: Loco, City and Standard.

With 504 stores in all counties and Bucharest, Profi is the supermarket chain with the largest expansion in Romania, according to data from the company. Last year, Profi opened a number of 134 stores. The retailer had 11,506 employees at the end of December 2016.
