180-million Euro ParkLake shopping centre opens tomorrow
After a 180 million Euro investment from Sonae Sierra and Caelum Development, the ParkLake shopping centre opens its doors to the public tomorrow, September 1. 2016-08-31 19:27:32
Located right next to Titan Park, the unit already has over 97 per cent of its GLA leased with most of the remaining spaces under advanced negotiations. It comprises more than 200 shops, including 23 restaurants and a cinema multiplex, and creates around 2,000 new direct jobs with its opening. The shopping centre also includes 2,450 parking spaces and can be directly accessed by all major means of public transportation and by the connection to the city's bicycle tracks.
"ParkLake is our first development in Romania and one that sets new standards at international level," said Ingo Nissen, managing director of Sonae Sierra, responsible for Development in Romania. "The shopping centre brings together the different concepts of shopping, nature and family and we developed features for sports, children entertainment, events and relaxation like no other in the city. ParkLake is set to become the place in town where you can go shopping and eat, but also relax, enjoy a walk, practice sport and watch live shows; and all of this linked to the amazing Titan Park."
With 70,000 sqm GLA, the shopping centre will introduce new brands to the Romanian market such as Forever 21, Play Park, Lanidor, Lynne and 4F. For further details, read the full article in the next The Diplomat-Bucharest issue.
