Umberto Sessa, appointed the new Head of Multinational Clients within Intesa Sanpaolo Bank

Umberto Sessa is, as of July 2016, the new Head of Multinational Clients within the Corporate Division of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania, a press release quoted by ACTMedia reads. He will coordinate all commercial activities of the bank on the international clients’ side.

Umberto Sessa has a 30-year experience in the financial and banking system. For the last 22 years, he has been working outside Italy, in Germany and Austria. After his graduation from the University in Milano, majoring in Economic and Banking Sciences, he began his activity in 1985 within several consultancy companies. In 1988 he joined a number of banks that are currently part of Intesa Sanpaolo Group. Umberto Sessa worked for the biggest part of his career within the international network of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, in large European financial hubs from Germany (Frankfurt, Munich) and Austria (Vienna and Innsbruck).

For more than 8 years, he was the General Manager of the Intesa Sanpaolo branch in Vienna, while for the last 6 years he managed the similar structure of the Group from Innsbruck. Holding these positions, he coordinated the activity for Austria and Switzerland, working with top multinational companies from the Central and Eastern Europe area.

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank is the local subsidiary of Intesa Sanpaolo, one of the major international banking groups, among the leaders in Europe, offering services to over 19 million customers. With a history of over 400 years, the Group is present in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, with over 1,200 units of subsidiaries, which operates in 12 countries in the region. Locally, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank has a national network of about 50 branches, 600 employees and total assets exceeding 4 billion lei.
