Brasov sees 1.8 million Euro investment from Wind Speed

2016-04-10 11:58:43 - From the Print Edition

In late March, Romanian transport and logistics company Wind Speed invested 1.8 million Euro in Victoria, Brasov county, where it opened a temperature-controlled warehouse to serve manufacturers and distributors across the country, according to a press release issued to The Diplomat – Bucharest. Through this investment, the company expects to register an increase of 1.5 million Euro per year in turnover and a growth in the number of customers serving the central area of the country. "This investment represents the completion of the range of services offered to our customers, and the access to facilities that meet the highest standards for companies in the centre of the country," stated Florin Marginean, administrator of Wind Speed. "We are pleased that we were able to respect our commitment to open a warehouse with controlled temperature in a geographical area in which economic growth depends on the infrastructure to which both large companies and small entrepreneurs have access." The warehouse is addressed mainly to distributors of meat, vegetables and frozen fruits, pastries, ice cream, fresh fruit and vegetables, refrigerated meat, and dairy. The company can also provide transport and distribution services to companies using the storage areas. Founded in 2006 as a transport agent, Wind Speed had gradually evolved into providing a complete range of services for its customers, now having its own fleet and storage spaces for both general merchandise and goods that require storage under controlled temperature. Among Wind Speed's clients are Westfleisch Romania, BEHR, Wetralog Romania, Integra, Purolite, Heinloth Logistic Experts, Kosher Meat 4 U, Fileomera, Vion Food Group, Kozljanic European Logistic, Gartner KG, Rofruct International and Ropharma.
