Astaldi: new law liberates public works

Construction firm Astaldi is picking up toughly fought tenders for infrastructure projects in Romania, mostly in joint ventures with Germanyís Max Boegl or Spainís FCC.
Last March, together with FCC, Astaldi won a tender to build the 32 kilometre Arad-Timisoara motorway.
In the 138 million Euro joint venture, Astaldi has 25 per cent and FCC 75 per cent and the project is due to begin in mid-2009 and finish in 2011.
