Saint-Gobain supports the Habitat for Humanity Romania project at Ploiesti
Four low-income families from Ploiesti will have a new home, due to the supports offered by construction materials producer Saint-Gobain, as part of the company's involvement in the Habitat for Humanity Romania project. 2015-12-04 11:01:59
Through its divisions, Rigips, Isover and MTI, Saint-Gobain provide construction materials for the building of the four houses, built by Habitat for Humanity in partnership with Timken Foundation and the local council of Ploiesti. The full project consists in a block of 8 houses to be completed between 2015-2016. In May 2015, Habitat started the construction of the first unit, involving local and international volunteers. So far, around 300 volunteers helped at the construction of houses for low-income families.
Habitat for Humanity is involved in social empowerment activities in Ploiesti since 2009. Habitat for Humanity system, developed in 39 years in 70 countries all over the world, empowers beneficiary families and provides funds for the construction of new houses for families in need.
