eMag: sales of 15.4 million Euro in Bulgaria and Hungary for Black Friday, double to 2014

The online retailer eMag recorded until 13:00 sales of 15,4 million euro in Bulgaria and Hungary on the occasion of Black Friday, the double of the same period last year, announced on Friday the company.

Similarly, in only three hours since the beginning of the campaign in Bulgaria, eMag surpassed the volume of sales against last year during the whole event, considers Radu Ilinof, country manager eMag Bulgaria.

Until 13:00, eMag recorded on the site and mobile apps a peak of 130,000 clients simultaneously, 40% of the visits being made from mobile phones.

Since the start of Black Friday Bulgaria at 07:28 to 13:00 were ordered 120,000 products. The total value of the sales is 8.4 million euro, the double of the recorded in 2014, up to 13:00 as well. In the first four minutes, the Bulgarians had 45 orders per second, the most popular products being appliances (12,000 products), TVsets (7,200), mobile phones (5,500), personal care products (6,000).
For the first time on the market in Bulgaria, eMag offered to the clients vehicles, with five orders confirmed until 13:00, the most expensive being Peugeot 2008 of approximately 16,500 euro, reduced from almost 21,100 euro.

On the Hungarian market, eMag had as a peak 15,000 clients simultaneously, according to Andrei Sercanean, country manager eMag Hungary. Since the start of Black Friday Hungary at 7:52 until 13:00 there were orders for 111,000 products. The total value of the sales recorded is of seven million euro, the double against the recorded in 2014, up to that hour.

Most popular products in Hungary were TVsets (4,000 pieces), mobile phones (5,000) tablets (4,000), perfumes (3,000)brushes and hair dryers (2,500). The most expensive products bought until now was a Citroen C4 Cactus PT 82 Shine (11,800 Euro).

In Romania, up to this hour, eMag had sold 300,000 products, among the products with a total value of 147 million lei (33.1 million euro) with 22 cars and an Armatrac 854 tractor, of 99,000 lei, reduced from 184,800 lei.
