Romgaz pays Transgaz 248 million lei for the transport of natural gas
The producer of natural gas Romgaz Medias (SNG) signed a contract for a year with Transgaz (TGN) worth 248 million lei (56.1 million Euro) for transport services. 2015-10-22 15:10:51
The contract is valid for the period 1 October 2015-1 October 2016, according to a press release sent on Tuesday to BVB. For the interval August 2014-September 2015 the contract had a value of 190,68 million lei.
Romgaz is the biggest producer and the main natural gas supplier in Romania, being owned by the state. In the first half of the year, the turnover of Romgaz was 2.2 billion lei, dropping by 11.5 per cent against the one during the same period of last year. The gross profit of the first six months of this year, almost 1.1 billion lei was dropping by 15.1 per cent against the first quarter of last year. Transgaz, the operator of the national system of natural gas transport obtained a net profit of 321.5 million lei in the first quarter of 2015, up by 9 per cent against the first half of last year, when the net result was 294.37 million lei, according to the financial data of the company.
