Hidroelectrica to sell 31 small hydropower plants with 20 per cent discount

"Hidroelectrica is putting on sale in open auctions in November 23-26, 2015, 31 small hydropower plants with a cumulative installed capacity of 25.7 MW and a project power of 77.79 GWh, at the smallest price, in accordance with the approval of the Creditors Assembly on September 29, 2015. If in the previous auctions the 31 small hydropower plants were offered for sale for 83.2 million lei, in the November auctions their value has decreased to rd 70 million lei, meaning a 13 million lei cut," the release says.
The assets subject to sale are structured in 22 packages, situated in 13 counties: Suceava, Brasov, Hunedoara, Neamt, Sibiu, Valcea, Maramures, Arad, Arges, Buzau, Timis, Vrancea and Bacau.
Offers are accepted until November 13.
Hidroelectrica is thus unfolding a new stage of the small hydropower plants′ sale, started in June 2013, as a result of the decision by the trustee. So far, 28 such plants were sold for 79.6 million lei, respectively 18 million Euro.
