JLL: 600 million Euro investment in real estate in Romania at nine months

The amount of investments targeting the real estate in Romania was estimated at 600 million Euro for the first nine months of this year, according to the real estate consultant JLL.

2015-10-08 10:28:26

The amount puts Romania on the third ranking in CEE region, after Czech Republic and Poland. According to estimates, for the entire year, the amount could exceed 800 million Euro. According to JLL, which is involved in 70 per cent of all transaction volumes on the market, most of investments included new investors, such as CTP Invest, P3, GLL or Lonestar," after several years when NEPI and Globalworth dominated the market."

At regional level, Czech Republic owns 43 per cent of all volumes in CEE, followed by Poland with 28 per cent while Romania holds 11 per cent and Hungary 10 per cent. In 2014, the real estate transactions in Romania totaled 1.15 billion Euro, a record in the last years, represented by two large deals, the Real supermarkets network takeover by French retail group Auchan and the transaction of Globalworth, by taking over the shares owned by German fund RREEF at several projects totaling around 22 million Euro, the JLL study states.
