2015-09-01 19:23:09

Regarding this appointment, Mr. Viorel Gafita, President of Romelectro, has declared:"The Board of Administration of Romelectro has made the decision of separating the function of the President from the one of General Manager with the objective of accelerating the reach of developmental targets for the company and the Romelectro Group of companies. We intend to evolve more efficiently as resources' integrator for complex projects. This idea means more than being just a General Contractor on the traditional electricity market, it also entails greater availability for other industrial markets as well as more aggressive on external markets. In addition, the President will be able to dedicate more time to the integration activities of the Romelectro Group of companies and to representation actions. By the engagement of such a skilled professional as Mr. Secosan, Romelectro has gained a leader, well known for his vast experience on the energy market, his commitment and dedication to the projects managed by him. His solid career, his determination to always find the best solution to the problems that arise, his forecasting ability and overall thinking are very important assets for our team."

"I am honoured and, equally, I feel responsible for the possibility to work with a team of exceptional specialists, with a tradition of over 40 years, who enjoy great recognition at home and abroad for engineering services, high quality general contracting and innovative solutions. The company′s growth by developing new projects and new areas of business is among the main objectives I have assumed for the management of Romelectro", was stated by the new General Manager, Mr. Cristian Secosan.

Cristian Secosan's career has always been connected to the energy sector. A graduate of Politehnica University of Timișoara, Cristian Secoşan has started his activity as an engineer at UCM Resita, later he worked as a Project Manager at ABB Romania, managed E.On Furnizare Moldova, and was the Director of the Energy Division at Siemens Romania, where he also held the position of Executive General Director. Romelectro is a company with 100 per cent Romanian capital, specializes in complex "turnkey" projects in the energy and environmental markets. At present the company is one of the most important EPC Romanian Contractors, through its projects covering the full range of power projects - generation, transmission, distribution and supply.

Currently, Romelectro Group includes four companies: Romelectro SA and another three where the company is a major shareholder, namely ISPE, CELPI and Electromontaj Carpati Sibiu. ISPE-the Institute for Studies and Power Engineering, is a national leader in consulting and engineering for energy and environmental projects. CELPI is a traditional designer and manufacturer of steel structures.
