Orange increases revenues by 6.4 per cent to reach 233 million Euro in Q2
Orange Romania reported overall revenues of 233 million Euro in Q2 this year, a 6.4 per cent advance compared to the same period of previous year. 2015-07-28 16:59:46
In the second half of the year, the telecom operator achieved revenues of 454 million Euro in Romania, 1.3 per cent more compared to the first six months of previous year. The advance has been triggered by the increased mobile services and in a smaller manner, following the sale of mobile devices and land lines," according to a release of Orange.
At the end of June, Orange counted 10,205 million clients in Romania, a downsize compared to 10,531 million clients numbered in December, respectively 10,365 million clients registered at the end of March. The ARPU value has been estimated at 6.2 Euro in Q2, compared to 6 Euro registered in Q1 and 6.2 Euro estimated in the last quarter of 2014. The mobile data traffic in the network is 112 per cent higher compared to the same period of last year, due to higher sales of tablets and smartphones, and because of the 4G services , more attractive to customers. The number of compatible 4G smartphones sold in the first half of this year increased almost threefold compared to the same period last year, while the number of 4G tablets sold 4.5 times , according to Orange.
