High street rents slashed
BUCHAREST The average rents for high street spaces in Bucharest have declined by 15 to 35 per cent in the first half of 2009, due to the low demand, according to real estate consultancy BNP Paribas Real Estate. November 2009 - From the Print Edition
The rents reached a maximum 90 Euro per sqm for central high street spaces larger than 75 sqm in Piata Victoriei, Piata Unirii, Blvd Magheru and 70 Euro per sqm for spaces over 75 sqm.
The rents ranged between 30 and 60 Euro per sqm for high streets in secondary areas of Bucharest in the east and the south such as Soseaua Colentina, Titan and Berceni.
On the outskirts of Bucharest, in areas such as Blvd Bucurestii Noi and Sos Chitila in the northwest, the rents declined to 15 to 25 Euro per sqm.
