Oana Petrescu is the new chief executive of the Council of Banking Employers
The Council of Banking Employers in Romania (CPBR) appointed Oana Petrescu (photo) as its chief executive. 2015-03-09 14:50:47
Oana Petrescu, who is also the partner‐in‐charge of the Consulting Practice of Deloitte in Romania, has been working for over 20 years in the Romanian banking sector as banker, auditor and consultant.
Prior to her position at Deloitte, between 2006 and 2012, Oana Petrescu was vice‐president and member of the Executive Board of Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), and, since 2009, she also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Romanian Banking Association (ARB).
Established last year on April 28, the CPBR aims at contributing to raise confidence in the Romanian banking system and to the economic development of Romania, both as part of the tripartite dialogue with the government and trade unions, as well as through raising banking standards as a basis for real consumer protection.
CPBR, the employers organization of the Romanian banking sector member banks are Banca Comerciala Romana, BRD ‐ Groupe Societe Generale, Raiffeisen Bank, UniCredit‐Tiriac Bank, ING Bank Romania and Volksbank Romania.
