AmCham Romania has a new board of directors

Members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) have elected the Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 mandate on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting of the Association on March 4, 2015.

The new AmCham Romania Board of Directors is comprised of: Daniela Nemoianu, Executive Partner, KPMG Romania-as President, Jacopo Murzi, Managing Director Janssen, Johnson &Johnson Romania and Ionuț Simion, Partner, PwC Romania as Vice-Presidents, Tim Helsen, CEO UPS as Treasurer and Cătălin Velescu, General Manager 3M Romania, Zoltan Brassai, Managing Director Ford, Cristian Colțeanu, President& CEO, GE International, Juraj Barus CFO IBM Romania, Kostas Loukas General Manager Microsoft Romania, Nolan Townsend General Manager, Pfizer Romania and Carmen Neagu, President Supervisory Board Transelectrica as Board Members at large.

The newly elected President, Daniela Nemoianu, states that "being part of the AmCham community represents a responsibility for the greater good and a commitment to live up to consistently high standards of transparency and integrity. Together with my colleagues in the Board of Directors we will continue to extend and consolidate AmCham's contribution to promoting Romania's economic growth and modernization, while also promoting the legitimate economic interests of AmCham members."

In the next period, members of the AmCham Romania Board of Directors will define their responsibilities with regard to the leadership of AmCham's working groups and the priorities of the organization.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) is the first choice for advocacy and business growth in Romania. The organization was based in 1993 and it now represents 400 members - U.S., international and local companies, with total investments worth over USD 20 billion and generating approximately 200,000 jobs. AmCham Romania is firmly committed to facilitating an open dialogue between the business community and the central authorities, promoting transparent solutions and priorities for making Romania a better home for businesses and increasing the country economic competitiveness in the region and at European level. AmCham Romania is an accredited member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and part of the European network-AmChams in Europe.
