Ikea shop in Bucharest posts sales of 106 million Euro
The Bucharest-based shop of Swedish retailer Ikea announced it achieved sales of 106 million Euro between September 2013 and August 2014, a 6.45 per cent increase compared to previous year. 2014-10-20 14:40:52
The shop was visited by 3.2 million persons in this interval, with 30,000 more compared to previous year. They acquired 13.2 million products, with 60 per cent being furniture and 40 per cent accessories and decorations. the company announced.
The Ikea Food department, represented by the restaurant made sales of 8 million Euro, 3 per cent more compared to previous year.
Ikea has 500 employees in Romania and opned the shop located in Baneasa area in 2007. Worldwide, the Swedish retailer has 350 shops and was founded in 1943 by Ingvar Kamprad.
