Telekom Romania launches Global Corporate Access service for business customers

Global Corporate Access (GCA) is a uniform solution addressing all companies whose employees have frequent business travels and who need a considerable data traffic volume in order to work anywhere in the world and anytime.

2014-10-08 17:02:36

Users can choose the basic service, as well as additional services for Internet access during the flight, when it is necessary. The supplementary services for Internet access aboard aircrafts are either HotSpot Gogo services or HotSpot InFlight services.

„The mobile data traffic in roaming can be expensive, and outside the European Union borders the prices are restrictive. As an aswer to these challenges, Telekom Romania, in collaboration with Deutsche Telekom, brings a new product, GCA, in premiere on the Romanian market, which makes available for business customers an innovative solution, that has as main benefit cutting the costs with the mobile traffic in roaming, offering a significant advantage to the user-easy access to their own network, through the largest business Wi-Fi networks worldwide", stated Ovidiu Ghiman, Chief Commercial Officer, Business Segment Telekom Romania Communications and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications.

The service is unique on the Romanian market and allows to business users access to a network with over 2,700.00 Wi-Fi hotspots in more than 120 countries, through a dedicated easy to use application, with intuitive interface. This allows the automatic connection to the Wi-Fi network, details about the traffic, a history of connections, as well as limitations and alerts for mobile data connections. Also, it performs automatic searches of GCA Wi-Fi hotspots and makes available a mini browser to the customer for connections that request the login through a web browser. The application is available for computers (with Windows or OSX operating system), but also for tablets and smartphones (with iOS, Android or Windows operating systems).

The GCA network is available in over 120 countries where there are over 2,700,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, in business areas such as airports (95 per cent of the top 100 airports), hotels (over 72,000), planes (2,150 aircrafts of 21 airlines), trains (in Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, Japan or China), as well as in restaurants and other public places.

The GCA service can be ordered by phone, at 1234, call free of charge in Telekom Romania networks or at 021404123, regular tariff from any national network. Full details are available on telekom.ro, in the dedicated webpage.
