IMM ReStart at Cluj-Napoca: Decreasing risks while increasing business performance
Over 130 entrepreneurs and business managers in Cluj have attended the SMEs-targeted conference “IMM ReStart-Resources and consultancy for development”, organized by doingbusiness.ro business portal and International Business Promotion (IBP).

The event welcomed in panel top managers and specialists such as: Lucian Anghel, Board president and general manager BCR Pensii, Gabriel Sincu, Tax Executive Director EY Romania, Ilie Iacob, Director Cluj Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari, Ileana Botez, Director Communication and Marketing BSE, Bianca Cheteles, Account Manager Direct Sales Edenred, Roxana Mircea, Managing Partner REI Finance Advisors, Magda Popescu, Outside Counsel BSA, The Software Alliance, Silvia Bolohan, Marketing Manager SAS Romania, Ovidiu Teodorescu, Marketing Manager Net Brinel (partner Microsoft Romania), Dumitru Ion, CEO Kompass Romania, Cosmin Joldes, Strategic Development Manager AchieveGlobal, Elena Badea, Marketing Director EY Romania.
The event agenda comprised topics related to fiscal practice area, financial and legislative up to date information, financing solutions opportunities, development resources updates, along with a workshop dedicated to sale force and business development practitioners.
Following data published on the market, the SMEs sector stands for 99 per cent of total companies within OECD countries and contributes by 66 per cent within the total employees engaged in private sector. Between 2002-2010, the SMEs contributed by 85 per cent to the new work places. Following latest surveys, 88 per cent of Romanian entrepreneurs considers difficult the access to financing, 94 per cent plead for predictability in fiscal areas and regulations, while 59 per cent think that Romanian values and local mentality do not support the development of SMEs, according to Dumitru Ion, GM of doingbusiness.ro.
The IMM ReStart series of conferences continue this year at Iasi, on October 14, Sibiu-October 21 and Ploiesti, on November 27.
