Telekom goes live

As of September 13, the users of former Romtelecom and Cosmote services in Romania became Telekom Romania customers as the two companies officially joined the Telekom worldwide group.

Following a record breaking process for the adoption of the new brand, Telekom Romania Communications and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications will be represented commercially by the Telekom Romania brand using the tagline "Experiente impreuna".

Fully integrated products and services, designed to deliver "best in class" experiences for customers will be offered under the "T" trademark. Telekom Romania fully embraces the Telekom brand values of Innovation, Simplicity and Competence, by leveraging the full portfolio of existing technologies.


"We want to become the first choice for Connected Life and Work as telecommunications provider in Romania. Owning unique capabilities and strengths, Telekom enters the Romanian market as an integrated fixed-mobile option, for the million experiences worth sharing", stated Mr. Nikolai Beckers, CEO Telekom Romania Communications and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications.

Claudia Nemat, Board Member Europe and Technology at Deutsche Telekom, noted "Adding Romania to the Magenta map is a natural step in the evolution of Deutsche Telekom's footprint in Europe. It is in line with our strategy to offer the best customer experience driven by technology leadership. As a leading telecommunications provider in Europe, we bring our expertise and ability to the Romanian market. We are highly committed to Telekom Romania and will make a significant contribution to the Romanian society."

Through the two operators, Telekom Romania Communications and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications, Telekom Romania provides a complete range of telecommunication services, for a full and rewarding customer experience: 3G and 4G mobile voice and mobile data services, traditional fixed telephony, high speed internet and television on multiple technologies, including IPTV, as well as high quality content and exclusivities in order to complete the entertainment experience. For business customers, the new brand is the promise for delivering turn-key IT&C solutions which support companies becoming more competitive and agile.

Telekom Romania brand is present on the Romanian market since 2014, after the joint rebranding of Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania.
