Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania under one brand: Telekom Romania

Following the decision of the general shareholder assemblies of each of the two companies, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania announce their new official names. Thus, starting mid-September, both Romtelecom and Cosmote will communicate under the same brand: Telekom Romania, while their legal entities names will be Telekom Romania Communications-replacing Romtelecom, respectively Telekom Romania Mobile Communications-replacing Cosmote

This change will ensure a new customer experience, built around the one stop shop philosophy, which delivers simplified, integrated and customized fix and mobile solutions:
-Integrated fix and mobile shops. 43 corporate stores will undergo a complete makeover, in line with the new brand identity. Out of these, seven concept stores will offer a hi-tech, interactive customer experience, according to Deutsche Telekom standards;
-One Call Centre, one website and one social media presence for all fix and mobile users.

"At this point, one in two Romanians uses our fix or mobile services. Together, we are a vast community connected by technology and shared experiences. This honors us and, at the same time, it gives us a great responsibility: to deliver the full "T" experience, in terms of competitive technology, innovative services and renewed brand philosophy. A huge amount of energy, passion and professionalism is invested in this very complex rebranding process, with numerous projects and teams across both companies working in sync." said Nikolai Beckers, Chief Executive Officer, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania.

In order to implement the changes involved by the new, joint Telekom identity, more than 2.000 people are working on over 100 complex projects in marketing, sales, IT, HR and real estate.

68,000 work hours have been dedicated by the IT teams for implementing the changes, including the joint website and the single contact center. All these hours are the equivalent of 35 years of work concentrated in just four months.

Besides an integrated customer approach, Telekom Romania will also mean a unified employee experience. Thus, by the end of the year, more than 500 workshops will be delivered to all Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania employees - a total of 1,855 training hours, introducing the new brand, with its values and philosophy, and boosting employee commitment order to deliver on the promise of the new Telekom Romania brand.

Once "T" is in place, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania customers will enjoy a new and fascinating experience. Nonetheless, there will be no discontinuity in the services provided. All necessary adjustments corresponding to the rebranding process will be carried out seamlessly and will not require any additional actions from the customers. After the completion of the project, all current products and offers will be continued and are to be gradually replaced by "T" branded products.
