The pharma distributor Farmaceutica Remedia Deva (RMAH) recorded in Q1 net sales of 119.8 million lei (27 million Euro), similar to those of the same period of last year, while the net profit increased by 22.23 per cent at 1.25 million lei (285,000 Euro) according to Mediafax newswire.
In the first six months of last year, the company had sales of 119.48 million lei and a profit of 1.02 million lei. The distribution to drugstores has a share of 65.8 per cent of the total, the deliveries to hospitals and clinics 21.8 per cent and entrepreneurs and other operations 11.41 per cent. The main risks which can influence the development of the society activity in good conditions are the risk of non-collection of debts, the foreign currency risk and the legislation impredictability. Reffering to the risk of non-collection of payments, we have an increase.

The reduction of the payment deadline by the Health House from 300 days to approximately 90 days showed issues of management of cash-flow in the case of drugstores and small independent chains. In these conditions we consider that a part of those over 2,500 clients drugstores will have difficulty in payment to the Remedia Farmaceutica of the sums whey owe' the financial report of the company shows.

At present, Remedia has a chain of 88 drugstores and eight logistic centres. The distributor owns units in Alba, Arad, Brasov, Cluj, Dambovita, Dolj, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Iasi, Ilfov, Sibiu, Timis, Tulcea and Bucuresti counties. The company budgeted for this year a net profit of 2.7 million lei (610,000 Euro) with 10 per cent less than the income obtained last year, and net income from the sales of goods of 258.5 million lei (57.4 million Euro) up by 7 per cent. Last year Farmaceutica Remedia Deva recorded a net profit of 3 million lei by 45 per cent more reduced than the result of 2012 for business in stagnation at 237.8 million lei (53.8 million Euro).

Remedia owns under 2 per cent of the market of pharma according to the data presented by the company previously. According to the most recent reports, the chairman of the Board Valentin Norbert Tarus has 66.5 per cent of the shares of the company. Among shareholders are the businessman Lutz Stache who owns indirectly 16.49 per cent from bonds, both personally and through the company AHG Vermogenverwaltungs Cottbus Deu.. The company has capitalisation of 29.1 million lei ( 6.65 million Euro).
