Romanian-Chinese trade exchanges reach 1.6 billion dollars in first 5 months of 2014
The total volume of trade exchanges between Romania and China hit 1.6 billion dollars in the first five months of the year, up 26.6 per cent from the similar period of 2013, according to a release of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Municipality of Bucharest (CCIB). 2014-07-24 10:31:42
The statistic data was released in the context of CCIB organising in Bucharest, the Romanian-Chinese Business Forum in July this year.
According to official data, in the interval January - June 2014, the total volume of the Romanian - Chinese trade exchanges totalled 1.6 billion dollars, increasing 26.2 per cent from the similar period of last year.
At the same time, Romanian exports to the Chinese market amounted to 324.7 million dollars, 31.6 per cent more compared with the corresponding interval of 2013, and imports from China reached almost 1.28 billion dollars, by 24.9 per cent higher compared with the first five months of the previous year.
Over the past few years, CCIB organised a great number of economic missions and business forums with the Chinese partners, and since October 2012 it has been supporting the Romanian-Chinese projects also through a representative office opened in Beijing.
