Operational leasing market boosts over 45.000 leased cars in Q2 this year

The operational leasing market exceeded the level of 45.000 leased vehicles in Q2 of this year, according to data provided by Association of Operational Leasing Companies (ASLO).

2014-07-22 17:55:44

The boost has been estimated to 12.3 percent compared to the same interval of 2013. In the first six months, 5.400 new vehicles have been registered with operational leasing, more than double compared with the same interval of last year, ASLO announced.

The top five largest companies operating this segment are: LeasePlan Romania, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility, Arval Service Lease Romania and Fleet Management Services. According to Daniel Ivan, president of ASLO, the increase has been noticed especially in the first part of this year, due to resuming of sales on the automotive market, the higher absorption rate for European funds and boost of investments, increase in competitiveness, directly leading to reduced costs for end-users.

The latest ASLO findings show that the current trends target a preference to small and compact class cars, with motors under 1.6 litres and low operational costs.

Also is a professional association established in 2010, which became functional in March 2011, joining the largest operational leasing and fleet management companies in Romania, such as: ALD Automotive, Alexandros Long Term Rental, Arval Service Lease România, BT Operational Leasing, DiRENT Group, Fleet Management Services, Hertz Lease, LeasePlan Romania, Porsche Mobility, Premium Leasing, RCI Finanţare România, Unicredit Leasing Fleet Management . Also, it joins members such as Aon Romania Broker de Asigurare Reasigurare, Autonom Rent a Car, Aviroms Rent A Car, Boca Autotrade, EurotaxGlass Romania, Marsh Broker de Asigurare-Reasigurare and SGS Romania.
