Mega Image to open two new stores at Bucharest, reaches 325 units countrywide

During 2013, Mega Image opened 104 units, out of which 37 supermarkets, 66 proximity stores Shop and Go and a store under the brand AB Cool Food. Mega Image has been founded in 1995 and in Romania it currently runs 304 units. The company revenues in Romania increased 35 per cent in Q2 of last year, and registered an evolution of 30 per cent in Q3, following a report of Delhaize group.
A report of Competition Council places Mega Image as the seventh largest retailer in Romania following the sales registered in 2012. It competes with Kaufland, Carrefour, Lidl, Auchan, Penny&XXL, Cora, Profi and Billa.
