The pipeline to bring gas from the Black Sea will cost 255 million Euro

The pipeline which will bring gas from the Black Sea starting with 2019-2020 will cost 255 million euro and will have a length of almost 250 km, stated on Tuesday Ciprian Alic, the manager of the Department for European Funds and International Relations in Trangaz, at a conference on the issue of energy strategy of Romania quoted by Act Media.

"First the project regarding the transport of natural gas from the Black Sea has to be ready by 2019 – 2020, when the exploitation of the human resources. The interconnecting pipeline to the national grid will cost almost 255 million euro and will have a length of 250 km." Alic said. According to this, the gas from the Black Sea will reach Bulgaria and Hungary.

He reminded that the project of pipelines which should be an alternative to the former Nabuccco project. "It will be a system of pipelines to unite Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Austria. It will a continuation of the former project Nabucco. We want to access European money, but we will lodge a joint project signed by all countries," the Transgaz official said.

At the end of May, the minister for energy Razvan Nicolescu stated that OMV Petrom and ExxonMobil signed together with Transgaz, the national transporter of gas, an agreement regarding the taking the gas over from the Black Sea to the national system.

The Americans from ExxonMobil and OMV Petrom collaborates for the exploitation of the surface of high depth Neptun in the Black Sea where the gas production is estimated for 2019.
