Zizin increases the sales by 34 per cent in Q1
Romanian mineral water producer Apemin Zizin announced the boost of sales of 34 per cent for mineral water in Q1 this year, compared to the same interval of 2013. With a turnover of 4.5 million Euro, the company manages to keep the upword trend on a decreasing market, the company executive director, Laura Lazar states. 2014-05-28 13:19:24
The company, with headquarter in Brasov, started the rebranding process in 2013, aiming at consolidation of sales, distribution chain, logistics and increasing the production capacities.
Following data on the market available for 2011, for companies who want to exploit mineral water, firstly the Romanian National Agency of Mineral Resources (ANRM) launches a tender which gives the firm a license to prospect for the spring.
From these springs, currently up to 75 per cent are exploited by the public joint-stock company the National Mineral Water Society (SNAM). This company explores 32 perimetres and 71 sources for extracting mineral water for manufacturers. It also has nine other sources which are now being prospected.
ANRM also issues licences to drill and exploit the spring for 20 year periods. SNAM grants concessions to companies such as Romaqua Group, European Drinks, Dorna Apemin, Perla Harghitei, Bucovina Mineral Water, Apemin Tusnad and Apemin Zizin. SNAM pays revenues to ANRM of four Euro per 1,000 litres it exploits through concessions, while the concesssion companies monthly pay SNAM seven Euro for each 1,000 litres in royalties.
