Wave Division appoints Sorin Blaga in the position of managing director

In this new position, Sorin Ioan Blaga is responsible for developing the business plan and for the marketing and sales strategy, given his vast previous experience in this field. Sorin Ioan Blaga will also be directly involved in the company's business development and also in the business relationships with Wave Division’s Group customers and partners.

Sorin Ioan Blaga has over 20 years of marketing and communication experience, and for thirteen years he has worked at Philip Morris Romania, where he played a major role in the development of the company on the Romanian market. His last position at Philip Morris Romania was as Marketing Director for Romania and Bulgaria.

His professional career also includes a position, gained later, inside Rompetrol Group, where Ioan Sorin Blaga has worked for a period of four years, serving as Marketing and Communication Vice President (Group Director), being responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all company's retail and corporate marketing activities and as well for the internal and external communication strategies. For one year, Sorin Ioan Blaga was the Marketing Director of Adevarul Holding. Sorin Ioan Blaga is an associate professor at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, SNSPA, and is also teaching at the Master in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations organized by SNSPA in partnership with The University of Sheffield.

Sorin Ioan Blaga studied at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, in Politehnica University of Iasi and holds an MBA from the Open University Business School in the UK.
