Chinese company Ming Yang to build a wind farm of 200 MW in Romania

Chinese wind turbines producer Ming Yang Wind Power Group Ltd. Said it plans to build a wind park of 200 MW in Romania, for a Romanian company, according to Bloomberg.

The news website reads that Ming Yang will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the Romanian renewable energy developer, the Zhongshan, Guangdong-based company said today and quoted by Bloomberg. The Chinese company will supply wind turbines with unit capacity of 2 megawatts each to the project, which will cost about EUR 400 million (USD 543 million).

Ming Yang expects to leverage this opportunity in Romania as a base of expansion, Chairman Zhang Chuanwei said in the statement, as quoted by Bloomberg. Ming Yang Wind Power Group and Romanian Paunescu Corporation signed an agreement for investments in wind energy projects and export equipments. Bobby Paunescu, the owner of the Romanian company developing the project said to Mediafax that the project location is established in Vaslui-Husi area.
