Is green energy actually that green? Is it so clean, so non-polluting? In theory, green energy uses resources that already exist in nature, which do not require extraction or storage anywhere, but only collection using tools/equipment which turn them into electricity. Politicians consider this field Romania's chance of being a player in the area - a chance left unexploited so far. These energies are considered renewable because no matter how intensively they are exploited, they will never run out. The same is true of wind, solar and water energy (although drought can make the latter an extremely rare resource).
