Two investment funds bought an 80 MW wind project in Constanta

Investment Fund Marguerite and Czech-based Private Equity Fund EnerCap Power expanded their wind farm portfolio with an 80 MW project in Chirnogeni, in the county of Constanta, after buying an 80 per cent stake from Cyprus-based EP Global Energy investor. Investment Fund Marguerite acquired a 50 per cent stake in the Chirnogeni wind farm, while EnerCap Power bought a 30 per cent stake, according to a release by the law firm Salans. EP Global Energy will keep a 20 per cent stake in the wind farm. Financing was raised from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Erste Group Bank, ING Bank and UniCredit, according to a Marguerite press release. The wind park will be located between Chirnogeni and Independenta and itís expected to be operational starting 2014
