Private choice sees popularity boom

Despite the financial crisis, some companies in private healthcare are registering a surprise boost, writes Ana Maria Nitoi

Although firms may be cutting costs and individuals are accounting for every cent they spend, private medical care is not yet a victim of the financial crisis.
Economic fluctuations do not seriously affect the medical sector, argues Dr Florin Ioan Balanica, general manager at private clinic network Medcenter. “Medical services now become a necessity rather than a benefit for our clients,” he adds.
