A grand coalition of the centre-right Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L) and left wing Social Democratic Party (PSD) has taken over the Government and Parliament of Romania, although divisions are emerging within and between the two parties.
This coalition constitutes 80 per cent of the new Parliament and has excluded the Union of Democratic Hungarians (UDMR) from Government.
