Biodegradable flats due for capital suburbs

Real estate company Ozone Homes - set up by Australian real estate developer South Pacific and a group of British investors - will build 40 eco-dwellings in Tunari, Ilfov county

The 40 apartments will have two and three rooms, will be included in three blocks of flats and will be made of biodegradable, recyclable, fire and water proof materials, which will be produced in a factory near Bucharest.
The development of the first block of flats, called Avalon, will begin in 2011. South Pacific owns 19 hectares of land in Romania on Soseaua Pipera- Tunari, and has developed 450 dwellings in several residential projects, such as Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Darwin. ■
