Equity fund seeks buyers for mall and land

BRASOV, BAIA MARE, SATU MARE British equity fund Carpathian, which has emerged from the bankruptcy of Dawnay, Day Carpathian, is looking for investors to take over shopping centre Macromall Brasov and two land plots located in Baia Mare and Satu Mare.
The fund bought Macromall Brasov in 2007 for 19 million Euro and aims to sell this for 4.75 million, according to Capital. The shopping centre covers 7,489 sqm, has 28 tenants and is 41 per cent empty.
The fund has also put on the market a 26,759 sqm land plot in Satu Mare and a 125,238 sqm land plot in Baia Mare. The group was planning to develop mixed use projects on both land plots.
Last March Carpathian sold Atrium Center mall in Arad and a land plot in Cluj-Napoca, where it was planning to develop its second shopping centre in Romania.
